Teriyaki Vegetable Bowl


16 oz package frozen oriental vegetables
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
4 cups cooked rice

1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup gluten-free soy (or tamari) sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp cornstarch


  1. Prepare sauce in a small saucepan by mixing water, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and cornstarch together with a wire whisk. Stir constantly over medium-high heat until thick and bubbly.
  2. Stir-fry, microwave or otherwise cook frozen vegetables according to package directions.
  3. Add teriyaki sauce to vegetables along with nuts if desired.

Serve over warm rice. Makes 4 servings.
