Fruit Syrup


1 cup cold water
1 1/2 Tbs cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup fresh or frozen fruit
1 Tbs lemon juice


Whisk water, cornstarch and sugar together in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Stir in fruit (strawberries, peaches, or blueberries, etc) and bring to a boil again.
Puree in blender if smooth texture is desired. Stir in lemon juice.
Serve with pancakes or waffles.

Makes 2 cups.
