2 1/2 cup sugar
1 stick butter
6 oz. canned evaporated milk
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
- Mix sugar, butter and milk together in a heavy cast iron frying pan and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to low and cook 6 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat, and add chocolate chips and nuts. Stir until fudge begins to form. Quickly add vanilla.
- Drop fudge on wax paper with a teaspoon.
Let cool and store in an airtight container.
