Beef and Cabbage Casserole


1 pound ground beef
1 bag shredded cabbage
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 GF beef bouillon cube*
1/2 cup water*
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
7 ounces mushroom pieces
salt and pepper to taste


  1. Brown ground beef with onion and seasonings.
  2. Add bouillon cube and water. Stir to dissolve bouillon cube.
  3. When beef is no longer pink add shredded cabbage to beef and cook until warmed and wilted, but not completely stewed.

Makes 4 servings.

* I used 1/2 cup GF beef broth instead, because I can’t find any bouillon cubes without MSG.
