GIG MISSION: The mission of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America® is to provide support to persons with gluten intolerance, including celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and other gluten sensitivities, in order to live healthy lives.

GIG Branch Mission: GIG's branches help to fulfill GIG's mission on a local and regional level through programs tailored to their community.

The Christmas party and December meeting will be lots of fun! Please bring a gluten free dish and your favorite gluten free recipes to share! The Aggieland VIP cards, gluten free hot chocolate mix and cranberry cornmeal pancake mixes will be on sale at the meeting (Fundraisers for GIG of BV) - they make great gifts, too!

Gluten Free Dining Out at C&J Barbecue

Presentation/explanation on the "Open Comment" period for the proposed regulation by the FDA on the definition of "Gluten Free" and discussed what current legislation means in every day terms and how it could affect daily life.  Discussed back to school options for your children and provided a list to help parents looking for gluten-free school supplies. Received brief on GIG national convention. Raffle items were graciously donated by the Bakers Rack, a new gluten-free company located south of Houston.
