Russel Sher will speak on:
Beyond Gluten Elimination
Next steps to healing the damage
Current research findings indicate that exposure to gluten has profound detrimental effects throughout bodily systems in those suffering from gluten intolerance. Although many people experience significant improvement upon eliminating gluten, others experience some improvement in symptoms that then seem to plateau or continue to flare-up.
Gluten may induce damage on the immune system resulting in autoimmune activity, as well as increasing sensitivity to certain foods or substances. Although a common manifestation is Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, antibodies have also been found related to other areas of the body such as the brain and other organs
This presentation will address:
• Safe and natural methods you can take to promote healing of the damage from gluten exposure
• How to calm and balance immune system dysfunction
• Learn about the latest laboratory tests to provide a more comprehensive test for gluten intolerance, assess associated foods that may mimic gluten, and determine sensitivities to common foods eaten on a gluten free diet.
• Leaky gut syndrome is a common effect of gluten exposure. Find out how to assess it and treat it.
• Find out more about the approach of Functional Medicine and its role in addressing chronic unresolved health problems resulting from gluten intolerance.
