Eating Mindfully
In today’s hectic lifestyle, it is easy to combine eating with some other task. We grab fast food and eat on the way to soccer practice. We eat lunch at our desk and cannot help but continue working while eating. After all, it is just staring you in the face. Anymore, food is a distraction, not an enjoyment. Sometimes we are so consumed with hunger and the idea of eating, we forget to actually enjoy the food past the first one or two bites! It is important to slow down when you eat. Read more…

Living gluten-free can be challenging, from both a logistical as well as a psychological perspective. A recent survey of 177 women with celiac disease found that although the women reported a high level of compliance with the diet, 37 % had responses which were indicative of depression (1). These women also reported greater perceived stress and reduced overall mental health. Read more…
