This is a grass-roots campaign designed to help spread awareness of gluten sensitivities to people all over the world who dine away from home, by partnering with restaurants that offer gluten-free menu options. This campaign is run at no cost to restaurants. We simply ask them to post educational materials detailing facts and statistics about gluten sensitivities during the month of May — Celiac Awareness month. GIG provides the materials to the participating restaurants.
This campaign is in its fourth year and has shown marked growth every year. In 2012, this campaign reached further than ever, with over 1400 restaurants participating in 4 countries—the United States, Canada, Turkey, and Italy. In 2013, we plan to continue to expand this Campaign.
